Adam Foote is the together with Joe Sakic, Peter Forsberg and Patrick Roy the face of the Colorado franchise. He played there almost whole career expect two and half seasons in Columbus. He was the classic defenseman with strong skills. He retired in 2011.
Scott Parker was the first Colorado fighter who stayed there for a longer time than his other teammates at this position. He became famous and popular thanks to his image. After three years in San Jose he came back to Colorado and retired in 2008.

Jeff Odgers spent in Denver only three seasons, but he is still the leader in the number of fights. He retired in Atlanta in 2003 with 2 364 PIM.

After long career in L.A., Ian Laperriere played four seasons for the Avalanche team. He was specific player - he could fight, but also scored very important and key goals. He left the team and signed new contract with Philadelphia Flyers. Hi skipped the 2010/11 season due a serious health problems and it was not clear if he will continue in his career.

Cody McLeod is a big warrior and is his style is close to Laperriere's. He is still young and very competitive. Each team needs a kind of player like he is.

David Koci, Czech-born player, spent in Colorado two seasons and appeared in 78 games, scored two goals. He was often the healthy scratch. His future with Avalanche is unlikely.
