Canucks revange?

Season series: The Colorado Avalanche defeated the Vancouver Canucks 7-3 at Pepsi Center on Oct. 24 in which Matt Duchene, Jarome Iginla and Tyson Barrie each had three points. It was the largest margin of victory against Vancouver and the most goals allowed by the Canucks this season.
Avalanche team scope: Colorado is 1-2-2 in its past five games and has scored more than two goals once in that stretch. In a 3-2 loss to the Anaheim Ducks at Pepsi Center on Sunday, the Avalanche was unable to generate offense for long stretches and had two shots on goal in the second period. Anaheim goalie Jason LaBarbera, called up that morning and starting because John Gibson was a late scratch with a lower-body injury, was playing in his third game in as many days. "We don't really care who's in net, we have to take care of our side of things and we didn't do it in the second period," Colorado's Matt Duchene said. "First period was great, third period was pretty good, we just lost the game in the second period. Two shots on a guy who obviously got called up at the last second isn't good enough." One bright spot for Colorado was a first-period goal for rookie Dennis Everberg, the first of his NHL career.
Canucks team scope: The Canucks saw their four-game winning streak end Sunday in a 3-1 loss to the Nashville Predators, but the bigger concern might be the health of defenseman Kevin Bieksa. Bieksa left the game and Rogers Arena after being struck in the eye with a puck. Though his status for Tuesday remains uncertain, the Canucks announced Monday he will be traveling to Colorado. "I don't think it's as serious as what people think it is," general manager Jim Benning told the Vancouver Sun. "I talked to the doctor [Sunday] night and we're just waiting to see this morning how much blood built up around the eye, or in the eye. Once we know that, then we'll have a better idea as to Kevin's availability." Canucks forward Tom Sestito (lower body) is out indefinitely. Forward Bo Horvat, the No. 9 pick in the 2013 NHL Draft, will make his NHL debut against the Avalanche.
