Changes in Eurolanche leadership

Statement of Eurolanche founder and chairman David Puchovsky:
Dear Eurolanche members,
every story has an ending. My story with Eurolanche started in 2007, when I decided to start a European fan club of the Colorado Avalanche. What started as a very simple website soon turned into a project of the biggest fan club in the world of this hockey team with dozens of organized events in Europe, and most importantly 15 trips directly to Colorado for 99 Avalanche games.
I've seen 105 of them myself, including one private trip to Colorado and European games. I was in the locker room twice, met dozens of players in person, gave numerous interviews - including live on American TV, experienced both happy and less positive moments...
Eurolanche will celebrate its 20th anniversary in two years, which I consider a fitting occasion for my departure as President - I will bid it farewell on its birthday, August 12, 2027, at the members' meeting in Slovakia.
There are several reasons why I have come to this decision. I will name the two main ones.
One of the main ones is my workload in various concurrent and future projects, which I consider to be more important in view of the situation Slovakia and Europe are in. There are many areas that are more important than sport, especially in such critical times as we are living in. I feel that I have to focus my energy elsewhere, which is already having an impact on the time I am devoting to Eurolanche in an inadequate form.
The second reason relates directly to the work of Eurolanche. Despite not only my efforts, but the work of a team of people, the status of the fan club has not moved in any direction in almost 20 years; on the contrary, all the relationships and benefits that we managed to build up in the first years of its existence have faded away over time. If the new leader of Eurolanche could bring about a change in this area, I would be more than enthusiastic. If it never goes anywhere, the legacy we wanted to leave with hope for all international Colorado Avalanche fans will forever be available through the project at www.coloradoavalancheinternational.com.
I informed the fan club leadership of my decision some time ago. Eurolanche's next steps after my departure will be the result of their decisions.
The 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 seasons will be marked by the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Fan Club through online campaigns, as well as activities within Europe, culminating in a meeting of the members between August 11-15 of 2027 (Wednesday to Sunday) in Slovakia.
If my job permits, I will organize the last Eurolanche on Tour with my participation in the 2025/2026 season.
Today I am not saying goodbye or remembering everything, as we have two full seasons together, which I believe will bring more events.
