Pierre Lacroix retired of hockey

Pierre Lacroix doesn't work for the Colorado Avalanche anymore. His era is done after 20 years when he was named president and general manager of the Quebec Nordiques in 1994. His reputation and record speaks for itself. Under his rule, Nordiques experienced the best season in their history and the Colorado Avalanche won two Stanley Cups. Lacroix stepped down as a general manager in 2006 and served as a president until 2013 when he was named an advisor. He stayed at this position until the end of the last season when he has decided to retire of hockey definitely.
Lacroix is a member of Colorado Sports Hall of Fame. He was a main constructor who built the Avalanche dynasty that had no competition in the NHL in late 90's. He will be always remember as a hard working expert who often used uncompromising methods in the negotiations with the players. Thanks his work, Denver welcomed greatest ice hockey players in the world and most of them were successfuly re-signed to new contracts. Lacroix was a hockey agent before he accepted Quebec's offer. He is the father of former Avalanche player and employee Eric Lacroix.
Thank you Pierre for everything.
