WJC on Eurolanche (7.)
Eurolanche Fan Club covered the Colorado Avalanche two prospects in the action at the World Junior Championship.Chris Bigras and Will Butcher were two Colorado Avalanche prospects, who were playing at World Junior Championship. Bigras was nominated to the National Junior team of Canada, Butcher represented the National Junior team of USA. For Butcher the tournament ended in the quarterfinals, but Bigras and Canada wanted bronze medal.
Today, Canada and Russia played bronze medal game. In the first period young Russians scored two goals and they won bronze medal because Canadians scored only one goal. Chris didn´t play a lot again because he was 7th defenceman again. At the World Junior Championship Bigras didn´t play very well. He did some defensive mistakes.
Overall Eurolanche Evaluation: 3
Canada U20 – Russia U20 1:2 (0:2, 0:0, 1:0)
The Russia won bronz medal.

Sweden U20 – Finland U20 2:3OT (0:1, 1:1, 1:0, 0:1)
