WJC on Eurolanche (5.)
Eurolanche Fan Club will cover the Colorado Avalanche two prospects in the action at the World Junior Championship.Chris Bigras and Will Butcher are two Colorado Avalancheprospects, who are playing at World Junior Championship. Bigras was nominated to the National Junior team of Canada, Butcher represents the National Junior team of USA. Today, 8 teams played in the quarterfinals after one day break. Bigras with his teammates played against Switzerland, Butcher and USA played against Russia.
Will Butcher and US National Junior team played their final game at the World Junior Championship. They lost quarterfinal´s game against young Russia 3:5. Today, Butcher didn´t play very well, he gained -1 point to the plus/minus evaluation, but Will had two shots on the goal. At the World Junior Championship Butcher played fantastic. He scored two goals and he gained two assists.
Overall Eurolanche Evaluation: 1-
USA U20 – Russia U20 3:5 (3:2, 0:2, 0:1)
US National Junior team ended at the World Junior Championship.
Chris Bigras and Canadian National Junior team played quarterfinal´s game against young Swiss. Canada played very good game and Switzerland had no chance. Score was 4:1 for young Canadians. In all tournament Bigras played in third defensive line and today he didn´t do mistake in the defense. Canada will play against Finland in the semifinals.
