Bratislava loves KHL

Denis Parshin was drafted by the Colorado Avalanche of the 72th place in the 2004 entry draft. He has never played for the organization and probably never will. In spite of that his name is still on the Avs official website. It means he is still an official member of the organization. That was the reason why we decided to make an interview with him. He had played for CSKA Moscow for 9 years. We wanted to interview him after the game in Bratislava. Unexpectedly, he was traded to Ufa just days before the game. As we had had the accreditation to the game, we decided to attend the game and brought the recap and photos. Anyway, we will interview Parishin in December when his new employer will come to the town.

HC Slovan faced 32-times Russian champion CSKA Moscow on Tuesday in Bratislava, Slovakia. Both teams started with the fast pace. Later in the first period the Russians showed for what they are famous – offensive lines produced another attack after another on the Slovan goalie. They scored two times in the second half of the first period. Second tally was scored by Igor Radulov in the breakaway after the pass from his brother Alexander Radulov.

The second period brought more activity of the home players. They finally scored the first goal thanks to the active offensive defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky. Few minutes late the score difference was by two again. One of the Russian players tipped down Slovan goalie Janus and Rylov scored to the empty net. None of the referees had noticed the tip and they allowed the goal. 

Another NHL-experienced player, Miroslav Satan, gave a chance to his team by scoring the second goal, but the score remained unchanged. Moscow won 3:2.
