Martinook, Domi lift Coyotes to 4-2 winThe official game recap Arizona Coyotes vs Colorado Avalanche.

Jordan Martinook scored two goals, Max Domi had a goal and two assists and the Arizona Coyotes beat the Colorado Avalanche 4-2 on Tuesday night. Anthony DeAngelo added a goal in his NHL debut for the Coyotes, who improved to 2-6 on the road. Radim Vrbata had two assists and Louis Domingue stopped 25 shots. 

Arizona won for the third time in four games after opening the season 2-6. Rene Bourque and Nathan MacKinnon scored in the first 6:09 of the second period for the Avalanche, who lost for the fourth time in five games. Calvin Pickard started in place of struggling goalie Semyon Varlamov and made 21 saves while dropping to 3-1 this season. 

The Coyotes took the lead for good on goals by DeAngelo and Domi in a 71-second span late in the second period.  Anthony Duclair handed the puck to Domi, who circled around the net and fed DeAngelo for the tying goal with 3:45 left in the period. Domi scored on a chance that deflected off Avalanche defenseman Erik Johnson and fluttered into the net. Martinook added to the lead with his second goal of the game 11 seconds into the third. His first came 28 seconds into the opening period. Arizona lost to Colorado 3-2 on Oct. 29.
