The former Avs player as a coach?

The former Avs player as a coach? The list of potential candidates for the post of head coach has received a new name.

Jared Bednar, Travis Green, Scott Arniel and Lambert Lane. These are still some of the names that appeared on the list of promising successors of Patrick Roy for the position of head coach. No one will be surprised, even if all the names are not known to most fans. However, the latest games to enter the name that rock fans certainly know the Colorado Avalanche. Brad Larsen.

Larsen was drafted by Colorado in 1997 in the fourth round, but the attacker was first drafted two years earlier. For Avs played for over five years 92 matches with a gain of 16 points, which ranks among the members of the last two attacks. Denver was the only part of the best cadres, including winning the 2001, although his name on the Stanley Cup does not feature. Another part of his career is concerned Thrashers hockey. With hockey ended in 2010 and since then served two years as an assistant coach in the AHL, followed by two years as the head coach and the last two years as an assistant coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Just Larsen interconnection with Columbus may be the potential benefits. In Colorado, namely acting assistant general manager Chris MacFarland, who previously worked for the Blue Jackets. This connection has caused some of Colorado decisions of late.

Larsen chance to become the new Avs coach is indeed another proof that probably can not wait sounding name, but the fact is that as head coach led his team holding period of two years to two division titles.
