Will Holos play in Switzerland?Rumors are saying that Norwegian defenseman is talking with a team from Switzerland.

Swiss website Ticinonews is reporting that a president of hockey operations for the local team Ambri-Piotta, Ivano Zanatta, had a talk with Jonas Holos who is still a member of the Colorado Avalanche organization. Rumors are saying they Norwegian defenseman has signed two-year deal with a member of the elite Swiss hockey league.

Holos admitted before he would not have problem to play in Switzerland in one of the most prestige leagues in Europe. As Eurolanche.com informed earlier, his priority has been to stay in the KHL. He spent two past seasons in Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, but his contract isn't going to be renewed there.

Holos just finished his participation on another World Championship tournament playing for his native country of Norway. He is the best Norwegian defenseman and and a player who has the most experience at the international level. He is used to play around 30 minutes per game.

He was named amongst three best Norwegian players of this year tournament. In total, he scored one goal and added five assists for six points in seven games. Norway couldn't reach the playoffs round.

Avalanche's rights on Holos will expire this summer. If they will not decide to offer him a new deal, he would be able to talk with all NHL teams without a restriction. Holos played in 39 games for the Avalanche and collected six points in 2010/11 regular season. He spent in the AHL rest of they year and then left for Europe after mutual agreement with Avs. 

Swiss team of Ambri-Piotta is well-known to the Avalanche fans. Matt Duchene appeared in four games for this organization during the recent lockout and earned fie points.
