Jonas Hiller stopped all 28 shots he faced to help the Calgary Flames defeat the Colorado Avalanche 2-0 in a preseason game at Scotiabank Saddledome on Tuesday night, completing a home-and-home sweep.

Calgary rookie Johnny Gaudreau scored 9:05 into the second period, and Hiller, who signed a two-year contract with the Flames this summer, made the one-goal lead stand up until Lance Bouma hit the empty net in the final minute.

Reto Berra made 22 saves for Colorado, which is 0-5-1 in the preseason and has games Thursday and Saturday against the Los Angeles Kings.

Calgary won 2-1 at Colorado on Sunday.
