Avs announce 2014 preseason schedule

The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today its preseason schedule for the upcoming 2014-15 campaign.
The Avalanche will play a total of eight exhibition games. The preseason slate begins with a “split-squad” against the Anaheim Ducks on Monday, Sept. 22. The Avalanche will then play a pair of road games against the Canadiens in Montreal and Quebec City (Sept. 25-26) before facing Calgary in a home-and-home series from Sept. 28-30.
The Avs will wrap up the preseason schedule with a pair of neutral site games versus the Los Angeles Kings. The Avs and Kings will face off at the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs, Colo., on Oct. 2 before concluding the exhibition slate with the annual Frozen Fury matchup on Saturday, Oct. 4 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
The Avalanche’s regular-season schedule is expected to be released this Sunday (June 22).
