Forsberg inducted into the Swedish HOF

Forsberg inducted into the Swedish HOFPeter Forsberg will be inducted into the Swedish Hockey Hall of Fame in December.

Peter Forsberg, former NHL star from the Avalanche, and Mats Sundin, former NHL star of the Nordiques and Leafs, will be inducted into the Swedish Hockey Hall of Fame during the World Junior Championship in Malmö, Sweden at the end of December. 

In Forsberg’s NHL career, he earned 885 points in 708 games for 249 goals and 636 assists. In playoff games, he added 171 points in 151 games for 64 goals and 107 assists. Forsberg won the Stanley cup twice, the Art Ross, Hart, and Calder Trophies once. With the National team of Sweden, he won Olympic gold twice and the World championship twice as well. Since 1996 he has been a member of the Triple Gold Club. We expect his induction to Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto soon.

Mats Sundin is another Swedish hockey legend and the second NHL Hall of Fame member from Sweden after Borje Salming. Sundin earned 1349 points in 1346 games for 564 goals and 785 assists during his NHL career. In playoff games, he added 82 points in 91 games for 38 goals and 44 assists. He won the Mark Messier Award. With National team of Sweden, he won Olympic gold in 2006 and World Championship gold three times.
