Avalanche to hold NHL trophy night

The
Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club, in conjunction with the National Hockey League,
announced today that the team will hold an “NHL Trophy Night” on Sunday, March
24. NHL Trophy Night will give fans the unique opportunity to take personal
photos with the League’s trophies, including the Stanley Cup, before and during
the game against the Vancouver Canucks.
“We are always looking for ways to improve the fan
experience at Pepsi Center,”
said Kurt Schwartzkopf, Chief
Marketing Officer for the Colorado Avalanche. “We jumped at the chance to work with the League and Hockey Hall of
Fame to showcase these great trophies for our fans at the March 24th game
against Vancouver.”
The
Avalanche will celebrate the history of hockey and some of the NHL’s well-known
trophies at the game. Fans will have the opportunity to take pictures with the
Stanley Cup, as well as the Hart Memorial Trophy (league MVP), Conn Smythe
Trophy (playoff MVP), Vezina Trophy (best goaltender) and Art Ross Trophy
(scoring leader). To accommodate fans and give them a longer time frame to take
pictures, Pepsi Center doors will open at 4 p.m. and the trophy lines will be
closed at the beginning of the third period.
Tickets
for the game are on sale now at TicketHorse.com or by calling (303) 53-HORSE
(46773). Tickets can also be purchased at the Pepsi Center box office.
