David´s column on the last game

David´s column on the last gameA brief recap and a criticism of the Colorado Avalanche game against Dallas Stars.

When we saw big Hunwick´s mistake in the first period we almost fell down back to our beds here in Europe last night. But the following effort by all Avs players helped us to stay awake to the end. I noticed Hunwick in worries on the bench even in the second period. He regretted it and it is right. Avs lost first home game, but impressed us more than weak “Stars”. Opponents had a lot of luck and perfect finishing of chances. At the other side, it was horrible offensive hockey by Dallas, as the Avs were doing in some of previous games. Avalanche´s PKs were nothing, but all the best. Heroic play, especially during full two minutes two men disadvantages. They did not allow a goal on all PKs on the last night. Our offensive lines showed several good combinations and finally did not aware to move with the puck more than usual. We did not see tons of weak shots anymore. Unfortunately, the game sometimes brings this kind of losses, but I am happy for the Avs. I hope they have learnt yet.
