A brief recap and a criticism on the Colorado Avalanche game against Minnesota Wild.Tragedy and comedy. One more time. The Avs are back.
But firstly, the big problems had the European fans too. NHL GCL did not work
well. NHL.com had a lot of problems. Is that a reason why it costs just 50 USD?
The first Avs game had started very well. No mistakes in the first period. I
have worries it could remain the biggest success for the Avalanche for the
whole season. Then the disaster came. Many stupid penalties gave a great chance
to Wild to score three consecutive goals. Especially, Downie´s two penalties in
the same second. Also he and McGinn hit the post and missed the empty net. With
Stastny and Duchene it looked like good at the first moment. But check their
stats. One shot on the net. Fortunately, Landy´s debut as the captain was
fantastic. He showed a lot defensive skills too. Varlamov was our MVP together
with him. Mitchell and his line surprised me the most. But stupid mistakes and
a lack of pressure brought another classic Avalanche´s loss.
