Perspective

Just days away from the self-imposed deadline to cancel the season all was saved and the NHL will once again hit the ice for a shorten season. With a 52-48 game season coming up as soon as next week will it be enough to win back fans. Yes today was a very positive day with lots of good vibes for the NHL and NHLPA across the social mediaverse.
It is not all good of course. Many negative reactions can be found. Some larger groups are calling for all sorts of boycotts. Not buying any NHL merchandise all season long. Calling for the skipping the first periods of all the first home games of all 30 NHL teams. Some people claim to be willing to go as far as not attending any games or even watching any all year.
Of course so many fans feel the complete opposite and can’t wait to get back to games. To gather around TV’s with the family. Head out to a local sports bar and cheer on their team with friends. No matter how a fan feels today is a different day. The NHL is back and only time will tell how we go from here.
