Fantastic Varly earns 2nd shutout in KHL

Semyon Varlamov continues in good results. He is currently playing his best of the entire career. Varlay has appeared in his 10^th duel in the KHL for Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. The Russian team faced the HC Slovan Bratislava at the home ice. They had no problems and finished the easy win 4:0. Varlamov saved all 32 shots and earned his second shutout of the season. He did it for the first time two and half weeks ago.

Varlamov is nothing, but impressing this year. The Avalanche number one goalie played 10 games in the KHL and won 8 of them. Three wins came in the shootouts. His save percentage is 94.8 % and GAA is 1.75. We can say without doubt, he is the best goalie in the world at the present.

After yesterday´s appearance of Matt Duchene and today´s Varlamov, the third player of the Colorado Avalanche was back in the action after long break in the all European hockey leagues. Gabriel Landeskog did not gain a point in the 2-tier Swedish league for Djurgarden. The local team lost the third straight game; overall the 7^th of last 8 games. Now, it was 3:5 loss.
