Photo report: Czech Republic – Sweden

Eurolanche´s editor in chief, David Puchovsky, visited the international
game between Czech Republic and Sweden, played in Liberec, the town north of
Prague. Eurolanche were supposed to cover Gabriel
Landeskog in that game and did an interview with him. As we reported, he
did not play due an injury. Read
this article for more information and exclusive Landeskog´s quotes.

Finally, Czech Republic scored three goals in the third period and won
3:1. Swedish added their alone tally in 59th minute thanks to Carl Soderberg. First goal of the game was scored by Tomas Plekanec; the legendary veteran Petr Nedved assisted him. Michal Vondrka and Jakub Petruzalek added two more goals. The first period was quite a
slow by the home team. Czechs showed faster pace in the first 10 minutes of the
middle part and did not get slow at the start of the third. Swedish were nervous
and almost started a brawl.
This game was a part of the Karlaja
Cup tournament. Czech Republic, Sweden, Russia and Finland play one game
each other. They do the same at the next three tournaments later in the season.
The each of four tournaments has the winner. Finally, the results from all
tournaments are mixed up together. The team which has the best record at all
four tournaments is the winner-winner of the whole 4-round tournament called Euro Hockey Tour.
