Eurolanche Camp 2012 in Bratislava

Eight Eurolanche members from Slovakia, Czech
Republic, Austria and USA visited the fifth Eurolanche meeting. It was the
special event thanks to the presence of Andy who flew to Europe from his
hometown Denver. He spent in Europe almost two weeks and visited three
Eurolanche members in three different countries. We will publish the complete
report of his trip in the summer.
Eurolanche meeting started on Friday 15th
July with a watching the final game of the NHL playoffs 2001. Members had
started to know each other and also exchanged their opinions on the Avalanche
hockey. Some of them decided to buy Avalanche shirts and hockey cards which
were available at the place.
After great night in the streets of Bratislava the
meeting continued with the main event on Saturday. After the lunch we moved to
the field for paintball. It was almost 3-hour time full of fun! The winner of
the tournament has got points to the contest for the Avalanche signed jersey.
Later in the evening we played NHL 12 on Xbox as another part of the contest. The
winner got important and key points again. The meeting had finished on the next
day after watching two documentaries about the road of the Avs for two cups.
It was the best meeting of all time in the Eurolanche
fanclub. Honestly, the best crew of members met in Bratislava and spent very
fun time there. It was nice to meet members in person and talked with them not
only about hockey. Big thank you to all who came and especially to Andy and
Jakub. Andy visited us directly from the USA and Jakub came in spite of
problems with his ankle. But for example, Lukas has travelled to Bratislava for
almost 9 hours.
I hope we will repeat such a great event like was this
one in the fall. For this part of the
year the arrival of another US fan is planned. The main part of the meeting
will be held for the first time in Czech Republic, in the city of Brno. The
winner of the Avalanche jersey contest will get his jersey in that time.
