Eurolanche on Tour XIII begins tomorrow

Eurolanche on Tour XIII begins tomorrowA record-setting number of Eurolanche members will watch eight Colorado Avalanche games in the US.

Following a three-year hiatus, the biggest fan club of the Colorado Avalanche returns to Denver. Eurolanche will organize Eurolanche on Tour XIII from February 25 to March 12, 2023. The name of the trip was changed following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. A record-setting number of members – 14 in total from Slovakia, Czechia and, for the first time, Sweden – will take part in the Tour. For 12 of them, this will be their very first trip to the US. The estimated mileage may exceed 4,000, setting an absolute record in the history of Eurolanche on Tour.

Eurolanche Founder and President David Puchovsky will return to Denver for a record-setting 12th time with the Fan Club and 13th time overall. This will be the third visit for Jakub Kantor from the Czech Republic (two with Eurolanche, one individually). For Slovaks Ladislav Olejnik, Marian Hula, Michal Vecera and Peter Masaryk, Czechs Jiri Matejicny, Michal Kubala, Marian J., Jan Novak, Jiri Otto and Roman Kosecek and Swedes Hannes Boberg and Patrik Boberg, this will be their first trip across the ocean.

The program of Tour XIII will be highlighted by eight Colorado Avalanche games, which will be the third time in a row in the event’s history that its participants will attend 8 games in total. Seven of them will be home games against the Calgary Flames, Vegas Golden Knights, New Jersey Devils, Seattle Kraken, San Jose Sharks, Los Angeles Kings and Arizona Coyotes. Following the first three home games, the participants will travel to Dallas, Texas, where they’ll have the opportunity to support the Avs against the Dallas Stars.

The journey to Dallas will be part of a road trip, as Eurolanche members will transfer there and back to Denver in a van and mini van. This will be Eurolanche’s first away game in the capital of Texas. Moreover, this will be the Fan Club’s fifth trip in a row, where the group will attend an Avs’ away game.

This will also be the very first time one of Eurolanche’s trips will include a game against New Jersey and Seattle. Among all other NHL teams, Fan Club members are yet to see the Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes in action. The list of attended games even includes the Atlanta Thrashers. In the case of San Jose, this will be Eurolanche’s 6th attended game against the Sharks, which will make them the second most-attended opponent after the Chicago Blackhawks (eight games).

The program of Eurolanche on Tour XIII will be packed from the very beginning up until the flight back home. It will include traditional stops, as well as places none of the participants of the previous twelve trips have been to. For example, these will include a full-day trip and short walks in the Rocky Mountains, activities around places like Colorado Springs, Boulder, Eldorado Canyon or Northern Colorado State, as well as short stops in neighboring states. The states in question are New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Nebraska and Wyoming, which, together with Colorado, brings the total of visited US states up to seven during a single trip – setting a new record in the history of the Fan Club’s overseas trips. In case of the trio of Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas, this will be Eurolanche’s first visits. The program will also include NBA and NLL games.

The road trip preliminarily includes stops at the Royal Gorge Bridge, alligator farms, the Great Sand Dunes National Park, the town of Tucamcari and other interesting places along the famous Route 66, the cities of Oklahoma City and Dallas, the Colorado landmark Bent's Old Fort and others. During this road trip alone, fans will drive over 3,300 kilometers.
