Eurolanche is organizing its twelfth Invasion

The biggest Colorada Avalanche fan club in the world will once again return to the USA. During the 2019-20 season, Eurolanche will organize the twelfth trip of its member to Colorado under the name Eurolanche Invasion XII. The trip will begin on February 11 and will conclude with a flight back to Europe on February 27, making it one of the longest Invasions ever.
For the second time in row and for the third time ever, a total of 12 members – a record that stands unbeaten in the project’s history – from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia and the United Kingdom will participate at the Eurolanche Invasion XII.
The highlight of the Invasion XII schedule will be the outdoor game as part of the 2020 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series between the Colorado Avalanche and the Los Angeles Kings, which will be played on February 15 at Falcon Stadium at the premises of the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. After attending the outdoor game against the Detroit Red Wings back in 2016 (during Invasion VIII), this will be Eurolanche’s second outdoor game ever.
Furthermore, the trip’s participants will also visit five Avs games at the Pepsi Center against the Ottawa Senators, Washington Capitals, Tampa Bay Lightning, New York Islanders and Buffalo Sabres. Invasion XII will also include two away games against the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings. The number of attended games will once again reach eight, tying the record set during the previous trip, Invasion XI.
Looking at the schedule, it becomes apparent that Invasion XII will see the participating members once again venture outside of Denver and Colorado State. Part of the trip will take place in California, where the group will head after the first ten days of the trips spent in Denver. The schedule will thus include a tour of Los Angeles, as well as a one-day trip to Mexico to the border town of Tijuana. Following the Avs’ trip to California, the group will embark on a road trip along a portion of Route 66 to Las Vegas, where they’ll spent one night, after which they’ll continue along the Grand Canyon for two days and drive all the way back to Denver.
The Invasion XII schedule will once again include traditional stops and places, as well as several new ones, never-before seen by previous Invasion participants. For example, the group will head to Southern Colorado, where Eurolanche hasn’t traveled yet. Moreover, the schedule will also include other sporting events, like a game of the Avs’ AHL affiliate, the Colorado Eagles, or a Denver Nuggets NBA game. Also included in the schedule will be meetings with both current and former Avalanche players, a visit to an Avalanche practice session, endless souvenir shopping and much, much more.
We’re currently working on the final version of the Eurolanche Invasion XII schedule, which will be published prior to the start of the trip in February 2020, along with detailed information about the trip’s participants.
During its 12 years in existence, Eurolanche has organized 11 trips to Colorado and the US. A total of 70 members from 10 countries attended 71 Avalanche games thanks to the Eurolanche Invasion project, also including the outdoor game against the Detroit Red Wings and several away games. Apart from Colorado, the participating members also visited 12 other US states, as well as both Canada and Mexico.
