The Game

Colorado won the game and did not even allow a goal after two awful performances. In spite of getting two points we could not talk about very good game. Only Varlamov deserves our praise. He showed again big saves and became a hero. Blue liners could not sometimes cover opponent´s attackers. Fortunately for us, they did not play for the Pens. Only one player scored. Shame nobody expected this skill from him. It is not his primary role. The rest of the Avs team was average, maybe except two or three players. They had many problems in the offensive zone. But it could be a tactic – took fast lead and then focused on the middle zone of the ice. I doubt it could work against other teams. What would happen if Varlamov got goals from the biggest goal scoring chances? Could we score more? The win 2:0 at the road ice looks very nice. Avalanche could not be fully satisfied. I am really looking forward on Tuesday. The same team and the Pepsi Center.
